Rosemarie Bloch

“Rosemarie Bloch was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio, and now lives in nearby Okeana OH. She won a scholarship to the Art Academy of Cincinnati, graduating in 1962. After graduation she married an army officer and they moved 14 times in 12 years while producing 4 children. She exhibited in more than 33 states plus Germany, and won many awards. In addition to being a full time artist working from her studio in her home, she was a part time painting instructor at the Middletown Arts Center in Middletown OH for 8 years. 

Rosemarie has worked in most mediums, but has settled on Acrylic or Oil painting for most works. Some acrylics are on paper, usually watercolor paper that is heavy and rough. She likes shaped canvases also for their challenges and visual interest. She also sometimes attaches several canvases together. Sometimes these are on top of each other for a 3-D effect. ”
